One of the many cries around the grid is the need for more group spaces. I know I’m not alone in saying that 25 is NOT enough.
At the moment I’m subscribed to 7 paid groups which of course I’d be silly to leave cuz well… I paid. Paid groups are worth investigating though before just shelling out lindens. For example… I’m a huge fan and shopper of Earthstones and the freebies alone make up for that initial subscriber fee.
But what about those really great groups that provide support, ideas… yes and freebies. SL is more of a PC dominant group so to find a group for Mac users was a blessing for me. But then looking at my groups list… which one do I remove to make a spot? In some large groups with many group titles and members… leaving and returning is a pain. Once you leave basically you’re no longer recognized by the members and if you have been active and provided services or items for display… you leave, all ur stuff gets returned. *shrugs*.
At one point I figured that paid members of Second Life got a bit of an advantage of having extra group space, but that’s not the case. (although maybe it should be)
